Executive MarTech Coaching for CMOs and Senior Marketing Leaders

Cut through the noise, make better platform decisions, and lead your marketing technology strategy with real confidence.

MarTech has never been more complex, or more consequential. The average marketing team is sitting on dozens of tools, overlapping licences, and a stack that grew by accident rather than by design. And the pressure to make the right calls, in front of boards, CTOs and finance teams, has never been higher.

This is what we work on together. We've spent years on both sides of this: as senior leaders making technology decisions at scale, and as practitioners who've actually implemented the platforms being argued over in the boardroom. That dual view is rare, and it's what makes this coaching genuinely useful rather than just reassuring.

We work with CMOs, VPs of Marketing and senior digital leaders who want to sharpen their thinking, strengthen their decisions, and lead their organisations through technology transitions without the expensive mistakes that usually come with them.

How we help

What we work on together

Making better MarTech decisions

The MarTech market is vast, noisy, and full of vendors who are very good at selling. Making a platform investment decision that actually fits your objectives and your technical reality takes a framework, not just a shortlist. We help you build that framework. That means being clear on what you're really trying to achieve, what your team can realistically adopt, and what your current stack can and can't support. The result is decisions you can defend with confidence, to your board, Chief Officers and your team.

Cutting through platform overload

Most MarTech estates weren't designed. They accumulated. A new tool for every campaign, a legacy platform nobody switched off, three systems doing roughly the same job. It's expensive, it's slow, and it creates more problems than it solves. We help you audit and rationalise your ecosystem honestly. Not to sell you a replacement, but to show you what you've got, what it's costing you, and where the real value sits. Simplifying your stack isn't just about saving money. It's about giving your team the clarity to actually perform.

Communicating technology strategy to the board

One of the most underrated skills in senior marketing leadership is putting complex technology decisions into language that lands in a boardroom. It's not about dumbing things down. It's about connecting your MarTech roadmap to the commercial outcomes the board actually cares about. We work on this with you directly. Whether you're making the case for a migration, defending an investment, or explaining why the current approach isn't working, we'll help you build a story that's clear, credible and hard to argue with.

Building organisational alignment around technology

Technology decisions rarely fail because of the technology. They fail because of people: misaligned stakeholders, teams that weren't brought along, CTOs and CMOs pulling in different directions. We help you get the right people in the room, aligned on the right things, before the big decisions get made. That means working across the CMO, CTO and operations leadership so your strategy has the backing it needs to actually land.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

It's a structured, senior-level engagement built around your situation, not a generic curriculum. We start by understanding where you are: your stack, your team's capabilities, your commercial objectives, and the decisions in front of you. From there we work through the challenges together, whether that's a platform selection, a board presentation, a rationalisation exercise, or your broader technology strategy. Sessions are a mix of structured advisory, working sessions and honest challenge, because the most useful thing we can do is tell you what we actually think.

Both. We run intensive 1:1 engagements for senior leaders who want dedicated, confidential advisory. We also run group programmes to align a whole marketing leadership team, which is especially useful during a big technology transition when you need your CMO, CTO and operations leads on the same page. Most engagements blend both at different points.

Most run 3 to 6 months, which is enough time to make real progress: through a proper audit, into a clear strategy, and far enough into implementation to know it's working. That said, we also do shorter, focused engagements when you've a specific challenge on a tighter timeline, like prepping for a board presentation or pitch, or evaluating a particular platform decision. We'll always be honest about what's achievable in the time you've got.

Almost always the CTO or Head of Technology, and usually operations or finance depending on scope. MarTech decisions made in a marketing silo tend to hit walls, whether technical, budgetary or organisational. We help you map who needs to be aligned and when, and we can facilitate those conversations if it helps. Getting the right stakeholders engaged early is one of the most valuable things we do.

A clearer, more defensible MarTech strategy. Better platform decisions, made with confidence and backed by a proper framework. A rationalised stack your team can actually use. And the ability to communicate your technology vision in a way that gets buy-in from boards, finance and technical leadership. We'll also agree how you'll measure the impact of the decisions you make, so you can prove they paid off. Longer term, the goal is that you don't need us any more, because you've built the thinking and the frameworks yourself.
